Costco fans need to say goodbye to two beloved ready-to-eat items for the time being.

According to Eating Well, the warehouse retailer shared a letter on its website earlier this month announcing a recall of its Caesar salad and chicken sandwich with Caesar salad, as they may contain materials unsafe for consumption.

Customers are encouraged to dispose of the items supplied by Ventura Foods or return them to a local Costco location for a refund.

Costco recalled items with the codes #19927 and #11444 from certain regions

Costco is recalling items with the codes #19927 and #11444 that have a sell-by date between Oct. 17 and Nov. 9. It noted in its letter that the salad dressing used in the items may contain “plastic foreign material,” making it dangerous to consume.

Eating Well reported that the contaminated products were sold at Costco locations in the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast.

Costco has recalled several items in recent months

Costco’s recall of its Caesar salad and chicken sandwich with Caesar salad comes after several recalls of products in recent months. As Blavity reported, the warehouse retailer recalled more than 940,000 bottles of its Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG due to a potential “laceration hazard.”

In July, Costco recalled several items, including its air conditioners, dumbbells, tires and more, for various reasons. The warehouse retailer announced its supplier, Midea America Corp, had recalled Danby U-shaped window air conditioners sold between June 10, 2021, and Feb. 2, 2022, due to issues draining pooled water, leading to mold growth.

Costco urged customers to avoid the BowFlex 552 adjustable dumbbells because weight plates could unexpectedly dislodge from the handle. It recalled Anker power banks because some products were overheating and causing fire.
