The Dallas Mavericks have a new CEO in Cynthia Marshall, according to WRAL Tech Wire.

The 2011 NBA Championship team owner Mark Cuban called for a press conference this afternoon to introduce Marshall, who previously served as AT&T's head of operations in North Carolina.

The hiring announcement comes amid the team's sexual harassment and domestic violence allegations scandal, which first broke via Sports Illustrated.

Over a dozen employees — both current and former — say that the organization is a "hostile work environment," and have claimed that the harassment is an "open secret."

“It’s wrong. It’s abhorrent. It’s not a situation we condone,” Cuban told Sports Illustrated. “I can’t tell you how many times, particularly since all this [#MeToo] stuff has been coming out recently, I asked our HR director, ‘Do we have a problem? Do we have any issues I have to be aware of?’ And the answer was no.”

According to sources from the Dallas Morning News article, Cuban decided to hire Marshall “in a capacity that will help lead the revitalization of the franchise.” The newspaper also stated that Marshall will be leading "non-basketball operations."

Marshall became AT&T's vice president of human resources in 2012 and was named to the telecommunications company's top diversity office in 2015. Black Enterprise Magazine has named her one of the 50 most powerful women in corporate America.
