Initially assigned to play a series regular role, Cynthia McWilliams ("Real Husbands of Hollywood") has been upgraded to female lead in NBC’s drama pilot "Love Is a Four Letter Word."

Meta Golding was originally set to play the lead, but McWilliams will now take over, after a table read, with Golding exiting. 

McWilliams joins Rockmond Dunbar (also a lead) in the NBC drama pilot which chronicles the collision of race, sexuality and gender roles when 3 diverse couples put modern marriage to the test.

In the project, McWilliams and Dunbar play a divorced couple with 2 children.

McWilliams former role is now being recast.
