Choreographer Kennith Thomas first tugged at heartstrings earlier this year in a video in which he danced to celebrate the progress his cancer-stricken son had made in fighting the disease. As Blavity reported, the New Jersey dancer used Ciara's "Level Up Challenge" as a way to mark his 15-month-old son Kristian finally being able to go home following 30 days of cancer treatments.
The adorable, positive video attracted the attention of Ciara herself, and the "Goodies" singer paid Kristian a visit in the hospital.

Months later, Thomas has even more to celebrate. In an interview with Today Parents on December 19, the father of five revealed baby Kristian is cancer-free.
"It was the most glorifying thing you could ever feel," Thomas said. "When your one-year-old is going through a huge battle, as a parent you want to take their place — you don't want them to have to suffer."
Kennith and his wife, Josilyne, received the good news on November 15. True to form, Thomas and his family posted a tear-jerking dance video to announce Kristian's remission.
Ciara also caught wind of the remission announcement and posted a congratulatory message for the Thomas family on social media, writing, "So glad to hear that Kristian is now cancer free! God is good! Go baby Kristian!"
Kristian, who was also born with Down syndrome, was diagnosed with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (AMKL) at 14 months, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
According to St. Jude's, AMKL is pediatric leukemia with long-term survival of 14 to 34 percent.
