This week's Saturday Night Live was a powerful one, but some viewers in North Carolina didn't get to see the full show. Host Dave Chappelle's language contained 2 of the 10 words the broadcast company, WRAL, has a strict policy against airing. All of the 9 instances were muted during a 10-second delay button that operators have.

Fans were curious how SNL would comment on the results of the presidential election, and for many, the show didn't disappoint. Kate McKinnon opened the episode dressed as her Hillary Clinton character, sitting at a piano, playing and singing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," before saying "I'm not giving up, and neither should you." This serious take after the election was a powerful step for SNL, which often takes a comedic approach. The host was of course Chappelle, someone who has been largely gone from the public eye after ending The Chappelle Show. With A Tribe Called Quest reuniting as the musical guest in the wake of the release of their final album, it was an episode to be remembered.

The station has since released a statement in response to user complaints about the censorship during such an important time to many. Vice President and General Manager Steve Hammel said that this presents "an opportunity for us to review those policies and procedures."
