Shots rang out at a Florida nightclub just after midnight Monday morning. Club Blu Bar and Grill located in Fort Myers, Florida was hosting a “Swimsuit Glow Party” geared toward teens. Two people were killed and at least 16 others were injured in the shooting. Fort Myers Police Department released very few details about the shooting. We do know the two victims killed were under the age of 18.

The receiving hospital, Lee Memorial Hospital, gave additional information stating that it received 16 people, ages 12 to 27, with injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening.

So far police have detained three people in relation to the shooting but still are unclear about the motive.There are potentially also two other crime scenes tied to the shooting but no additional information on how all three scenes could be connected.

The club released a statement about the shooting via Facebook.

Police confirm that the shooting was not an act of terror. Monday’s shooting comes one month after the deadly PULSE night club shooting in Orlando, FL.
