Drake defended his decision to wear pink nails in a recent Instagram post.

The “One Dance” rapper shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos to his Instagram account last week, with one of the snapshots highlighting his vibrant pink nails, People reported.

“I don’t mind that we don’t talk Rather be in your thoughts Rather be on top of your list of “what ifs” and not your list of “and what nots” the 36-year-old wrote in the post’s caption.

In the comment section, rapper Lil Yachty remarked on the diamond stud earrings Drake wore in the first photo. He then joked with the Canadian native about the negative feedback he received over his nail choice.

“Boy got them heavy hangers in his ear,” the “Strike” artist said.

Drake then called out Yachty, stating the rapper reportedly talked him into painting his nails to stop biting them.

“GET OUT MY COMMENTS YOU TOLD ME TO PAINT MY NAILS SO I STOP BITING THEM AND NOW THE WORLD IS BEING HOMOPHOBIC FOR THE 1st TIME SINCE RICH FLEX…which wasn’t that long ago now that I think about it,” Drake wrote, referring to his collaboration with 21 Savage on their hit single “Rich Flex.”

“Wait is the world homophobic? Smh,” he added.

The 25-year-old then responded, encouraging his friend to take a few breathers and not stress over the situation.

“Woo-sah brother, [you’re] not supposed to have these episodes in public, it’s fine. They just don’t get u bro #UDIFFERENTAF,” he wrote.

Drake debuted his pink nails in an Instagram Story on July 3. The photo circulated on social media, with The Shade Room posting the snapshot to its account. Fans shared their thoughts in the comment section, many dissing his look.

As Blavity reported, Drake announced a collaboration with fellow rapper Nicki Minaj during a show in Detroit for his It’s All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage.

“I’mma give away one thing about the album to Detroit tonight, ’cause I got a lot of love for Detroit. So I’mma have to tell you, like, me and Nicki Minaj did our first song in, like, a really long time. So I got a lot of love for her,” he said, as the crowd responded with loud cheers and applause.
