Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey will hit theaters in July, and while fans eagerly await its release, the right-wing Elon Musk is coming at Nolan for Lupita Nyong’o’s speculated casting as Helen of Troy. While Nyong’o’s character hasn’t been confirmed, many believe she will be playing Helen.

What did Musk say about Nolan on X?

According to Variety, a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote on Sunday how Greek poet Homer originally described Helen of Troy in the 700 BCE poem as a “fair skinned, blonde, and ‘the face that launched a thousand ships’ because she was so beautiful that men started a war over her.”

The user continued, stating that “casting choices that make the premise incoherent are admissions that the story was never the point and an insult to the author.”

Musk responded to the post, writing, “Chris Nolan has lost his integrity.”

The film also stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie and Elliot Page.

Another addition is 10-time Grammy nominee Travis Scott. His role in the film was revealed in a television trailer aired during the NFL AFC championship game between the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos, Blavity’s Shadow and Act reported.

‘It was 100% on IMAX’

The Odyssey was shot entirely with IMAX cameras, marking the first time a film has been produced using the format. In an interview on the New Heights podcast, the two-time Oscar-winning director discussed the production experience and using the high-resolution cameras, according to Deadline.

“On this one, it was 100% on IMAX,” he said on the podcast. “It was the first movie that was ever done all on IMAX. IMAX cameras are really loud. It sounds like a blender, like a Cuisinart in your face when the camera’s close to you. So there’s never been these dialogue [scenes in Imax]. We couldn’t have this conversation with a normal Imax camera because you wouldn’t be able to hear us.”

The Odyssey will be released in theaters on July 17.
