50 Cent seems to be heated at Starz about the direction of Power.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is one of the show’s executive producers and stars as Kanan.

He’s been posting a series of cryptic messages threatening Starz on Instagram, with the following being the most lengthy:

This comes after last Sunday’s episode saw two major characters played by Anika Noni Rose and J.R. Ramirez get killed off. Showrunner Courtney Kemp told Entertainment Weekly in an interview that it was originally supposed to be a two-part episode, but Starz did not agree to increase the episode order, which resulted in a loss of some of the storyline.

“Unfortunately, Starz would not give us the extra episode. I asked them for 12 episodes for season 4 and they would not do it. So because they would not do it, we had to make it one episode,” said Kemp.

So if you’re thinking what we’re thinking, this seems to be the reasoning behind 50’s angst.

This isn’t the first time he’s threatened to leave the show or take it from Starz, most recently speaking out about the show’s lack of Golden Globe nods.
