Fans of Beyond the Gates are finally getting the crossover event they’ve been waiting for.
Recently, Karla Mosley, who plays Dani Dupree on the groundbreaking CBS soap opera about a powerful family in a prestigious Black neighborhood outside of Washington, D.C., shared a promo video on Instagram teasing a character from The Young and the Restless in Fairmont Crest.
Bryton James’ Devon Hamilton to appear on the show
In the video, viewers see The Young and the Restless’ Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) make his Beyond the Gates debut. According to Soap Opera Network, Hamilton enters the Fairmont Crest Country Club’s dining area as he heads to Beyond the Gates’ Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis). Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) turns to Hamilton and says, “Devon, welcome to Fairmont Crest!”
Another promo confirmed the Beyond the Gates fictional 1970s girl group led by Anita, the Articulettes, would reunite and perform for the first time together in decades. Hamilton, who has experience as a music promoter, will likely help the group promote the concert.
“Articulette’s concert, more Dani drama (obvs), and a Devon Winters sighting in Fairmont Crest?!!!!!!!! This looks like a WEEK, y’all! @beyondthegatescbs @youngandrestlesscbs @cbstv 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” Mosley wrote alongside the most recent promo.
This crossover event confirms that Beyond the Gates exists in the same universe as The Young and the Restless, and by proxy, The Bold and the Beautiful.
CBS later dropped first-look photos of the upcoming episode.
