Bronny James played his last high school basketball game with Sierra Canyon. On Tuesday, the high school basketball team lost to another talented team — Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. Sherman Oaks took home the win by 20 points, 80-61, with Bronny James scoring only 10.

According to The Jasmine Brand, James closed his senior basketball season averaging 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals. At the start of 2023, he was the nation’s 33rd-ranked basketball recruit.

This loss officially ended Bronny’s high school basketball career and landed Sherman Oaks in the CIF Southern California Division I state championship game. The win has ranked Sherman Oaks as the No. 1 seed in the high school division, with their superstar team, including players like Master P’s son Mercy Miller and Caleb Foster, who has committed to playing college ball with Duke.

Miller and Foster assisted in Sherman Oaks’ big win, with both players scoring major points. Miller reportedly scored 18 points, while Foster dropped 28 points during the game.

Despite the loss, James has had a consistently successful senior season, and his father, LeBron, co-signed his son’s greatness with a celebratory Instagram Story.

“Yessir!!!! Helluva year Young [king]!!! Next chapter coming soon,” LeBron wrote on his IG Story showing off his son’s top plays for the team.

On3 Sports recently ranked Bronny at No. 9 in the nation among other high school players in the 2023 recruiting class. According to Clutch Points, this new ranking is a step in the right direction after Bronny was placed at No. 60 on a different list.

Bronny has narrowed his choices to Ohio State, USC and Oregon as prospective schools as his college recruitment ends.
