Daniel Kaluuya is ready for another sci-fi scare-fest.

Deadline reports that the Nope star is in talks to headline Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel, directed by Together filmmaker Michael Shanks.

Described as a “sci-fi thriller” by the outlet, the film revolves around a man who wakes up and realizes he’s trapped in a hotel room. According to the film’s description in the article, “his only chance for escape is teamwork–with himself.”

Shanks’ script originally made the 2021 Black List and has been acquired by A24.

Adam McKay is among the film’s producers

Adam McKay will produce with Todd Schulman via McKay’s HyperObject Industries. Princess Pictures, which also produced Shanks’ first film Together, is also on board with Princess Pictures’ Mike Cowap and Emma Fitzsimmons in the producing chair.

Kaluuya has been in the news for developing his directing and producing talent alongside his acting skill. His directorial debut, The Kitchen, came out in 2023 and followed Black characters finding community and resistance in a dystopian version of London.

He is also behind one of the most intriguing and oddest projects in Hollywood, a “surrealistic” film about Barney the Dinosaur. The film is produced via Mattel Films and is described as being more for millennials who grew up with the purple dinosaur rather than kids. It’s also described as being A24-esque.
