One of the ways DoorDash has committed to empowering local communities is by helping restaurant owners serve customers in their neighborhoods and across the country. Launched in 2021, DoorDash nationwide shipping allows consumers to get meals and food items from around the U.S. delivered right to their doors.

How to Get Your Order Shipped

Open the DoorDash app, find the shipping option in the top menu and tap the icon to see curated lists of restaurants and shops participating in nationwide shipping. Once you select a business, choose your items and proceed to checkout. There, you have the option to get your order delivered as soon as possible or schedule it for a later date — as far out as three months.

You can also gift meals and have the orders shipped directly to family and friends. Your orders will arrive via free shipping in two to four days.

Shop Black-owned Across the Country

Several Black-owned restaurants are shipping nationwide through DoorDash. Here are a few of our favorites.

Cute as a Cupcake! Cupcakery & Bake Shop – Merrillville, IN

When one cupcake just isn’t enough, Indiana-based Cute as a Cupcake can satisfy your sweet tooth with the treat it’s most known for: the cutie cupcake in a jar. The dessert is made up of two layers of cake and icing made from scratch, placed in an eight-ounce jar.

Paunchy Elephant – Marysville, WA

This food and beverage company located near Seattle proves that good health and good-tasting food don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Paunchy Elephant offers bottled teas, lemonades and barbecue sauces made with certified organic ingredients and eco-friendly packaging.

NoLa Cookie Co. – New Orleans, LA

The gourmet treats at NoLa Cookie Co. can make you forget about wanting a New Orleans beignet. The cookies are made with a signature, chef-crafted dough, and the brownies and cakes are delicious new spins on classic recipes.
