In honor of her daughter’s birthday, R&B legend Monica shared five photos to Instagram showing the 42-year-old and her daughter Laiyah side by side posing for a glamorous photoshoot. The photos are drop-dead gorgeous, with both of the ladies wearing Black ensembles. Monica wore a two-piece suit, and 10-year-old Laiyah wore a tulle ballgown dress.

The birthday girl shared several photos from the shoot on her Instagram page. The young Virgo thanked everyone for their birthday wishes and even hinted at where her birthday shoot ‘all black’ inspo could have stemmed from — Netflix’s Wednesday Addams.
