Nicki Minaj has secured an endorsement deal with Call of Duty, taking advantage of an opportunity that Cardi B failed to snag. The popular video game revealed Minaj in its latest ad, which also featured several other celebrities.

Minaj’s endorsement deal comes after Cardi B recently revealed that she failed to get a deal with the video company because of her past mistakes.

“My stupid decisions from the past caused me to miss out on money now,” Cardi tweeted on Sept. 27. “I had a multi-million dollar Call of Duty deal on the table that I couldn’t take because of court. Guys, think twice about those quick decisions! Lesson learned.”

As Blavity previously reported, Cardi was referring to the felony and misdemeanor charges she faced following a brawl at a New York strip club in 2018.

The 30-year-old Grammy award winner avoided some serious jail time when she pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment. Cardi also agreed to serve 15 days of community service.

Still, Cardi’s business opportunities took a hit due to her court case. Now, it’s Minaj who’s embracing the chance to promote Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, which is expected to be released on Oct. 28.
