“It was never just about the bunker,” Julianne Nicholson’s Sinatra says at the end of the first footage we’ve got from Paradise on Hulu Season 2, which is in the form of a teaser trailer that debuted at Brazil Comic Con (CCXP).

The teaser trailer shows both action on the outside and the inside, as well as new characters, like the one played by Shailene Woodley.

Sterling K. Brown returns to lead the cast, which includes Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV and Charlie Evans, with recurring guest stars James Marsden, Woodley,  Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers.

What do we know so far about ‘Paradise’ Season 2 on Hulu?

Here’s the Season 2 synopsis:

Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of Season 1, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.

In a recent interview with Blavity’s Shadow and Act, Brown gave us a little hint about what to expect in Season 2.

“In an ideal world, he finds his wife, because I think that’s the only thing that would get him to leave his children,” he said. “A lot of people ask, ‘So you just gonna leave your kids in the bunker?’ I’m like, well, I found a sister to take care of them, so I felt like they were left in good hands. But truth be told, if it weren’t for the possibility of being reconnected with his partner, nothing would have separated him from those children. But the idea of his family being together once again is very exciting for me. I hope the audience feels the same level of enthusiasm. And we don’t know what’s going to happen. I guess Sterling knows, but, you know, Xavier doesn’t know.”

He added, “I will say this. There will be a moment in which the outside and the inside collide.”
