Both Queen Latifah and Toni Braxton have inked production deals with Lifetime.
Latifah will be an executive producer of the documentary Where Did the Women of Hip Hop Go? and will also star in and executive produce the one-hour special “U.N.I.T.Y.,” which will follow her as she remakes her pivotal hit single from 1993.
Braxton’s deal includes a multi-picture production pact, including one that will be the centerpiece of the network’s holiday programming block.
“Both Queen Latifah and Toni Braxton have been part of the Lifetime family for many years and its proven that our audiences love them as much as we do and we are excited they will be back on the network for even more,” said Tanya Lopez, EVP of movies, limited series & original movie acquisitions for Lifetime and LMN.
Both have had recent Lifetime films premiere, Braxton with the real-life story Faith Under Fire and Queen Latifah in Flint.
