Allison Williams and Mckenna Grace are trying to make sense of tragedy and secrets in the trailer for the Colleen Hoover adaptation, Regretting You.

Based on the book by author Hoover and directed by The Fault in Our Stars director Josh Boone, the Paramount Pictuess film follows a mother (Williams) and daughter (Grace) whose already-strained relationship gets even more tense after two unexpected deaths in the family.

Together, the characters “explore what’s left behind after a devastating accident reveals a shocking betrayal and forces them to confront family secrets, redefine love, and rediscover each other,” according to the synopsis. The story is further described as one “of growth, resilience, and self-discovery in the aftermath of tragedy.”
