BET has dropped the trailer and revealed the premiere date for The Coach Vick Experience, the upcoming docuseries following Michael Vick’s new chapter as head coach of Norfolk State University.

The series is produced by Constance Schwartz-Morini and Michael Strahan’s SMAC Entertainment. The network describes the series as “an emotional, high-stakes docuseries that follows Michael Vick as he returns home to Virginia for the biggest challenge of his life — stepping in as a first-time head coach tasked with reigniting Norfolk State’s struggling football program. With the community and the season on the line, Coach Vick must learn the job in real time while building a team hungry for greatness. At its core, this is more than football – it’s a raw and inspiring look at what it takes to rebuild a program, a culture, and the belief that anything is possible.”

Deion Sanders also executive produces with Schwartz-Morini, Fred Anthony Smith, Vick, Kijafa Vick and Strahan, Tiffany Lea Williams and Angela Aguilera executive produce for BET.

Here’s what the team behind the project says

“For me, this chapter is about giving back to the game that gave me everything. Coaching at Norfolk State isn’t just about wins and losses. It’s about restoring pride and proving that transformation is possible when opportunity meets belief. This journey has challenged me in ways I never expected, and I’m proud to share it honestly,” said Vick.

“This show is as much about family and Michael’s relationship with Kijafa, who is supporting her husband as he coaches her alma mater’s rival, as it is about football and Michael’s homecoming to Norfolk State. I’m excited for people to experience the electricity of Coach Vick’s Norfolk State, along with the immense pressure and hope that comes with rebuilding a legacy,” said Smith, Executive Producer, SVP of Non-Scripted at SMAC Entertainment.

“I’ve known Vick for a long time, and this moment shows a different kind of greatness. Coaching is about accountability, preparation, and service. This series captures the work it takes to lead, not just play the game,” said Strahan.

“Michael didn’t step into coaching lightly. He sought guidance, embraced the work, and committed to leading young men with purpose, especially during what was such a difficult season, both on and off the field. Get ready for the journey!” said Sanders.

“BET was built to elevate stories that move our community forward,” said Louis Carr, President of BET. “The Coach Vick Experience offers an authentic look at Michael Vick’s life as a coach at an HBCU and as a father, grounded in culture and community, and reflects our responsibility to amplify stories rooted in mentorship, growth, and opportunity.”
