Filming for Netflix’s hit series The Night Agent is set to move to Los Angeles from Vancouver and New York. The move comes as The Night Agent is nearing a Season 4 renewal.

According to Deadline, the move is because the series is taking advantage of a 40 percent (aka $31.6 million) California tax credit. The decision to move shows that Netflix is interested in continuing the story, especially since the writers’ room is already working. However, Netflix hasn’t officially announced another season.

Creator Shawn Ryan is thought to be behind the series’ move to Los Angeles. Deadline reports that Ryan has a big relationship with Los Angeles as a filming location, thanks to his other projects such as The Shield, The Unit and S.W.A.T.

When does Season 3 of ‘The Night Agent’ premiere?

Even though Netflix hasn’t officially announced a fourth season of The Night Agent, it’s entirely possible that Netflix could continue its habit of announcing the next season during the premiere of a new season. In that case, Season 4 could be announced at the beginning of Season 3, which will premiere sometime in 2026.

The series stars Gabriel Basso as an FBI agent who gets picked out of obscurity to join the Night Action organization. The series also starred Luciane Buchanan, who will not return for Season 3. Other stars for Season 3 include David Lyons, Genesis Rodriguez, Stephen Moyer, Jennifer Morrison, Callum Vinson and Amanda Warren.

What the cast previously told us about Season 2

Warren told Shadow and Act in January, during the Season 2 premiere, how her character, Catherine Weave,r is integral to the shadowy drama of The Night Agent.

“She is a straight-shooter, and it is nice to try to bring that dynamic of ‘Don’t play with me, don’t mess around with me,'” she said. “I think that’s really refreshing when everything was so gray and cloudy for Peter and Rose to navigate through Season 1. It was very nice to play with the wording of everything…to clearly communicate what she needs when and how. For people like Peter and Rose, who have come in from their previous experience with really set boundaries that they’re trying to establish through their trauma, it makes for some really layered, complicated conflict.”
