The Pitt Season 2 trailer wastes no time getting into the thick of things, but our main question is this: Is it truly Robby’s last shift for a while?

That’s what Noah Wyle’s Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch states in the trailer. When asked if this is his last shift, he responds, “For a while, yeah.”

We also see Katherine LaNasa’s Nurse Dana Evans return after taking some time off after the incident of last season, as well as Patrick Ball’s Dr. Frank Langdon, after stolen medicine was found in his locker.

This season is set over the course of a day during Fourth of July weekend. Per the series’ logline, The Pitt “is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.”

It also stars Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi).

The new season comes on the heels of the show being nominated for 13 Emmys, winning 5 of them, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
