Marvel fans may be getting a taste of Avengers: Doomsday sooner than expected.

According to Tech Radar, a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday was rated in South Korea, prompting fans to speculate that the trailer may be released on Thursday. Amid the online fervor, here’s what to know about the teaser and its record-breaking length.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is allegedly the shortest trailer in MCU history

The teaser, which was spotted on South Korea’s Media Rating Board, doesn’t appear to include major cast or plot spoilers, but it does reveal the trailer’s official runtime: 1 minute and 25 seconds — the shortest trailer in Marvel Cinematic Universe history.

Fans, who in October first speculated a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday would be released by the end of the year, also suspected a first look at the new movie may come out Thursday after Marvel Studios uploaded a private video to its YouTube channel, The Direct reported.

Adding to the online speculation is the new movie’s release date — Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on Dec. 18, 2026, and it’s possible Marvel would mark being one year out from Avengers: Doomsday by releasing its trailer, IGN reported.

Entertainment insider claims the trailer will not come out Thursday

Unfortunately, Marvel Cinematic Universe aficionados may need to wait a little longer for the Avengers: Doomsday trailer. According to The Direct, entertainment insider Grace Randolph shared on X, formerly know as Twitter, Wednesday that the trailer is “no longer coming out tomorrow” and “wasn’t necessarily” for Avengers: Doomsday.

Fans also suspected the trailer may come out this week to compete with the highly anticipated Supergirl trailer, which was expected to be released Wednesday from DC Studios. DC Studios has since confirmed that the piece of marketing will come out Thursday, and it’s possible Disney would change its Avengers: Doomsday trailer release date to avoid going up against the Supergirl trailer, per The Direct.

Disney may release trailers for other upcoming films

According to The Direct, Disney has a lot on its plate and may drop trailers for several projects coming out in 2026. Star Wars’ The Mandalorian & Grogu releases in theaters in May and the mass media and entertainment conglomerate may want to use buzz surrounding Avatar: Fire and Ash, which comes out Dec. 19, to push the film. Toy Story 5 is also set to release in theaters in 2026. Though a teaser was dropped for the new film on Nov. 11, a full-length trailer has yet to be released.

Hexed, Disney’s upcoming original animated feature, also has ann upcoming theatrical release, and fans may see a trailer for it soon.
