As the family continues to grieve the loss of Tyre Sampson, the 14-year-old Missouri teen who recently died at Central Florida’s ICON Park, they’re calling out YK Osiris for allegedly not living up to his promises.
Late last month, Sampson slipped out from his shoulder-harness while riding the Orlando Free Fall, a 430-foot drop tower. The 8th grade footballer, who was affectionately known as “Big Tick,” resultingly slammed into the concrete ground and died.
In response to the tragedy, YK Osiris pledged to cover the funeral costs, as Blavity previously reported.
“If anybody knows his family, tell them to DM me because I want to pay for his funeral cost,” the “Worth It” singer wrote on his Instagram Story.
Despite YK Osiris’s gesture, Sampson‘s family has slammed him for allegedly being all talk and using the matter for clout.
“YK Osiris or whatever dude name is cancelled. Used lil bro for pure clout,” Sampson’s brother wrote. “Didn’t pay a dime but told the world otherwise. Even posted a fake screenshot of a GoFundMe donation. Stop pretending you about giving back to the community just to get your sales up. Lame as hell.”
Sampson’s mother, Nekia Dodd, co-signed this statement by adding that YK Osiris allegedly blocked her on Instagram.

YK Osiris has spoken out to deny the allegations in response to the matter. Specifically, he addressed the family’s claims through his Instagram Story.
“The devil is moving,” he began. “Why me? I’m not even that type of person fr. I will never play around like that, NEVER.”
“I’m not no Indian giver. W/e I do from my heart is from my heart. God always has my back fr,” he added. “God gave me a job to do and I wanted to get it done asap. I love you, and anything his mother needs, I’m here for her.”
YK Osiris, whose real name is Osiris Williams, also uploaded a screen recording that showed that he donated $15,000 to the official GoFundMe. He also showed receipts of Sampson’s mother telling the artist that he could send the money through the account.

YK Osiris’s sister, Armonie Williams, also spoke on the matter and defended her brother on Facebook.
“Y’all so be quick to believe lie, and That’s the problem with social media,” Williams wrote. “My brother sent them ppl $15,000. Nothing is fake, and he didn’t block them!!”
“Since y’all make everything else go viral, let’s this one go,” she continued. “[Sampson’s mother is] mad because the huge amount didn’t clear right away.”
However, Sampson’s family doubled down on their claims, with his brother alleging that YK Osiris’s screen recording was “photoshopped.”
“He clout chasin point blank period. That’s the correct GoFundMe, but that transaction does not exist,” he wrote. “The top donation is $500, not $15,000.”
YK Osiris hasn’t issued any further comments on the matter.
