Yung Joc’s pockets are a little lighter after he mistakenly sent someone $1,800 on Zelle. The rapper took to social media to ask the public for help in getting the money back and posted the message he sent the lucky receiver.
Yet, one thing that everyone agreed on was that Joc could kiss that money goodbye.
Joc ran to Instagram, hoping his followers could get the mystery person to do a good deed.
“So I sent them a Zelle by mistake and they won’t return my money…. can y’all please call/text them and ask them to return my lil change? 6785987689,” he wrote, posting a screenshot of the conversation with the recipient.
The Streetz 94.5 radio host asked nicely in text, but the recipient didn’t seem moved.
“Hi, can you please return the $1800 that I mistakenly sent to your account via Zelle,” Joc wrote via text message.
“I don’t know you nor do you know me,” he continued. “Please do the right thing.”
Joc then tried to appeal to the person on a religious level, adding that “God has a bigger blessing for you…….”
But the recipient seemed as if they missed a couple of Bible study sessions.
“I know you’ve blocked my number and that’s ok I just need the $1800 that was sent to your account via Zelle,” Joc pleaded.
Although Joc had high hopes, Twitter knew he wasn’t getting that money back.

I would have sent him back this and enjoy my current 1800 dollar blessing. No need to be questioning God's work pic.twitter.com/GG0qso9jBJ

And several people told Joc to simply call his bank. But Twitter user @DJayCapo informed the masses that once you hit confirm on Zelle, that’s considered authorization — meaning that money is long gone.
Trust me the bank will not give that back…he sent it and zelle asks you multiple times to check the number before you send it….money is gone

Joc never revealed to who he was intending to send the money or why.
However, he did return to Instagram to let us know that he did eventually make contact with the recipient, but it’s unclear whether he got his money back.

“Sometimes you have to trust your gut!!!!!! I have a New Game Show!!!!!! This gonna be BIG!!!!!” he announced to his Instagram followers. “S/O @vh1 I love yall for believing in me and my wild antics.”
In the post, Joc announces he is working on a new game show with VH1, and the person might have missed a bigger blessing by keeping the “lil change.”
Would you have returned the money or kept Joc’s “lil change”?
