The federal government shut down at midnight Jan. 20, one year to the day of President Donald Trump's inauguration. Like clockwork, people shared their opinions, debated with others and expressed their outrage on social media —causing #GovernmentShutdown and #TrumpShutdown to trend for most of Saturday morning.

Among those sharing their thoughts on the recent shutdown, was former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. It seems he had some time and decided to go in on U.S. policymakers who, once again, have failed the American people. In a series of tweets, Holder dropped knowledge about the shutdown and called out Republicans for failing to help fund social programs designed to better protect kids of color in America.
