Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority has announced its honorary members, inducting singer Fantasia with an award only a few receive.

At the Centennial Founders Month Honorary Membership Class, Fantasia, and three other women, Alexis Jones, Yvonne McNair and Shawn Smith, received inductions as new soror members, Hello Beautiful reports.

Being an honorary member is awarded to someone who accomplishes substantial heights and showcases the spectacular qualifications of SGRho.

Fantasia announced her new title with an Instagram video. She shares her exciting moment of being inducted into the organization during the ceremony. The new soror stunted in the sorority’s colors, yellow and blue, paired with a smile and danced around while being inducted.

“We are pleased to announce the Centennial Founders’ Month Honorary Membership Class of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated: Fantasia Barrino Alexis Jones, Yvonne McNair Shawn Smith Please join us in congratulating our newest members! #SGRho100 #SigmaGammaRho #Greater,” the organization tweeted in celebration of their new members.

Fans are supporting the special moment with the singer online, tweeting and commenting on her Instagram post with love.

“Welcome to the sisterhood SoRHOr!!!!,” one comment reads. “Congrats, Soror! You were already my sister, but now you are truly my Soror!.”

The support is excellent but many users want others to remember how they played in Fantasia’s face after she announced she wanted a sisterhood bond in her life.

“Not too much on Fantasia. Sis has been looking for a sisterhood. Years back, she said she was interested in DST and was welcomed with mad bullying online. Now fast forward, she did more research and found a home. Folks tweeting don’t forget, but let’s not forget,” another tweeted.

And there can never be a high moment without haters joining the mix; Many made fun of Fantasia for joining late in her adulthood as opposed to in college.
