Peacock has dropped the first images and teaser for its upcoming, star-studded series, Fight Night, featuring Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Don Cheadle, Terrence Howard, Chloe Bailey, Lori Harvey and more.

Marsha Stephanie Blake, Dexter Darden and Sinqua Walls also star. The premiere date for the series has also been announced, set for Sept. 5.

Here’s the description:

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, based on the acclaimed iHeart true-crime podcast, follows the infamous story of how an armed robbery on the night of Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight changed not only one man’s life but ultimately transformed Atlanta into the “Black Mecca.” When a hustler named Chicken Man (Kevin Hart) hosts an afterparty to celebrate the fight with a guest list of the country’s wealthiest, the night ends with the most brazen criminal underworld heist in Atlanta’s history. Suspected of masterminding the crime, Chicken Man is hellbent on clearing his name but must convince his old adversary, J.D. Hudson (Don Cheadle), one of the first Black detectives in the city’s desegregated police force, who is tasked with bringing those responsible to justice.

Reuniting Hustle & Flow and Empire stars Henson and Howard, it also reunites them with their Hustle & Flow director, Craig Brewer, who directed the pilot, as well as episodes 102, 107 and 108.

Shaye Ogbonna is the creator, co-showrunner and executive produces the series. Jason Horwitch is also co-showrunner and executive producers as well.

Co-executive producers are Tiffany Brown for Hartbeat and Kenny Burns. It is a Universal Television series.
