I'm sure we all remember the story of Malachi Love-Robinson, a Florida teen accused of practicing medicine as a fake doctor. Dr. Love was arrested back in 2016 after an undercover operation caught him in the act. The deputies explained that he not only performed a physical exam but he also offered medical advice.

According to NBC Miami, Love-Robinson appeared at a hearing in West Palm Beach Thursday morning where he pleaded guilty to several fraud charges, grand theft and practicing medicine without a license. He was sentenced to 42 months but was given credit for the time he already served. As a part of his sentencing, he was ordered to pay restitution to the patient he stole from. Back in 2016, authorities said Love-Robinson stole $35,000 from an elderly woman during a series of home visits.

Throughout it all, Love-Robinson family is sticking by his side. Rebecca McKenzie, his grandmother, told WPTV that "what he was trying to do, he was trying to do for the better good and not harm anybody."

His grandfather, William McKenzie added, "he was always trying to help people..he just mad some wrong choices."
