Former NFL cornerback Tony Beckham taught a Peeping Tom who'd been masturbating outside his daughter's window a valuable lesson.
The suspect, identified as Geoffrey Cassidy, was arrested Monday on a charge of lewd and lascivious exhibition.
According to local news outlet WPBF, Cassidy was found outside an apartment building in Wellington, Florida, masturbating in the bushes while looking in on Beckham's 15-year-old daughter. Beckham, who played for the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions for five seasons, was leaving work around 6:30 a.m. when he caught Cassidy in the act.
"I waited for a second and I looked again," Beckham told WPBF. "And I see a white male and he’s standing by my window and he’s trying to get a better position."
Without hesitation, Beckham yelled at the man. Cassidy tried to flee, but the former cornerback chased after him and tackled him to ground. At this point in the struggle, Beckham's wife came outside and called 911, according to Local 10 News.
"I couldn’t believe it. I was like, 'Is this for real?’ I thought I was getting 'Punk'd,'" Beckham told WPBF.
But before police arrived, Beckham used his hammers of justice to teach the perv a lesson. He told the WPBF he had a "good conversation" with Cassidy.
"I caught him at the apartment over there and we just had a good conversation," Beckham said.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene and saw the two men fighting. By the looks of it, Cassidy sustained the most injuries. He reportedly suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket.
Reports state the teenage girl was just getting out of the shower and getting dressed before her dad discovered Cassidy. The Miami Herald reports Cassidy, who described himself as "transient," was allegedly broken down. He was in the bushes waiting for the car to "cool down."
With a black eye and several broken bones in his face, the 48-year-old was booked into the West Detention Center and held on a $1,500 bond, but a judge ordered the man never to come around the Beckham family again. He is set to appear in court on February 13.
