In our generation of personally curated content, we have the ability to aggregate the material that serves us best. As many millennials are shifting away from the radio format, podcasts are taking over our earbuds. While I am sure there are countless lists of "the best podcast" to listen to, here are my suggestions for content that has undoubtedly kept me and many of those I know motivated.

ABLRadio – Art, Beats, and Lyrics Radio is a multifaceted platform that provides direct connections and insight to the culture. With over 15 weekly podcasts on the platform, there's something for everyone. Each show tackles a different angle of the black experience such as the Jazzy Belle Show – three charismatic women's unique take on navigating life and pop-culture; airing every Thursday at 7 p.m. EST. ABLRadio also offers up classic, underground, album cuts, and emerging music from many genres. Everything on ABLRadio is worth a listen so be sure to tune in and check them out.

Brilliant Idiots – While Brilliant Idiots is probably one of the more popular podcast on iTunes because of it's hosts Charlamagne Tha God and Andrew Schulz, it is still worth a very honorable mention. For those who are not-at-all politically correct and enjoy challenging themselves with topics that might be disagreeable or agreeable, depending on the day, this podcast keeps my mental juices flowing. Even in the most basic form, the show has a way of motivating me to boldly approach my perspective while encouraging me to dig deeper – even on shallow topics. (Soundcloud)

Inspirational Asshole – This podcast is much like if Oprah & Kanye West had an offspring. Burrcardi & Free The Vision give unbiased and unapologetic inspiration on countless topics ranging from how to get ahead as a millennial entrepreneur, love in the digital age, how to approach greatness, how to utilize talents for business, work ethic and countless more. With an honest and bold approach, the two leave you with priceless gems and quotable moments.

How I Built This – NPR has crafted a masterpiece. This show interviews the founders of some of the world's major brands and gets their stories on the journey and process they had in developing these cultural staples. With interviews with people like Suroosh Alvi (founder of VICE), Cathy Hughes (Founder of Radio One), and L.A. Reid (Head of Epic Records) you are left feeling as if achieving the largest idea is only a matter of planning and faith. Another great quality of the show is they even highlight an up and coming entrepreneur and the brand they are currently building at the end of every show. The show taps into the human side of billion dollar brands and is spark an idea or two in you. NPR Link
