It's an undeniable fact that most of the best sitcoms came out in the 90s. When you mention the top ones, you better not go too far down your list without mentioning The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Can you believe it's been exactly 21 years since the last episode aired on May 20, 1996? It may not seem so long ago thanks to syndication and the cast staying true to the statement "black don't crack."
Yesterday, the iconic cast had a reunion at Nobu in LA and all posed for a picture afterward. Tatyana Ali, Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons, Will Smith, Daphne Maxwell Reid and Joseph Marcell held each other close, looking like one big family again. It was painfully obvious that they were missing the patriarch of the family, James Avery, better known as 'Uncle Phil' who passed away tragically in 2013 due to complications following open heart surgery.
Ribeiro shared the photo on his Instagram page with a caption that read:
Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.

We couldn't help but notice the picture was also missing a few others from the bunch we've grown to love. Baby Nicky, who I'm sure is all grown up by now. Dj Jazzy Jeff, who wasn't technically family but he was that friend that was at your house more than you were. Lastly, Janet Hubert, Dark Skin Aunt Viv, but we know she still has beef with them so we won't hold our breaths on that one.
Whether they're planning something in the works or just old friends catching up over lunch, it makes us happy to see them all looking and doing so well.
