When ya’ll are done binge-watching Season 4 of “Being Mary Jane,” your girl, Gabrielle Union-Wade is coming for them edges in a whole new way with her new Flawless hair care brand. The line, which features ten products priced from $19 – $29, includes shampoos, conditioners, treatments, edge control and styling aids designed specifically for women with textured hair.

"I want to make sure that it's right for me, for my family, for my friends and for every person with textured hair," Union told WWD. “I went through a phase where I would leave my relaxer on so long, thinking the longer I leave this relaxer on, the straighter it’s going to be,” she said. “Trying to chase something that was unrealistic, and eventually probably in my mid- to late-20s I decided to give up my relaxer, and I went natural. By natural I mean underneath the weaves, extensions, clips and the hair color was my natural hair — thriving.” We feel you Gabrielle, and we support this movement!

As the U.S. moves to become a majority minority country over the next two decades, major beauty brands that have long ignored our needs are scrambling to accommodate the demands of this rapidly growing market, as major department stores integrate their ethnic hair care section into broader aisles. Union is tapping into this sweet spot with perfect timing to capitalize on this trend.
Flawless by Gabrielle Union will be available for purchase at Flawlesshair.com on March 1, 2017, and in stores nationwide at Ulta Beauty and Ulta.com starting April of 2017.
