A couple of weeks ago, Rockdale Career Academy teacher Paul Hagan made an alarming threat to one of the students of his class. However, the child's parents were not notified until a week later, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Now the teacher is on administrative leave and one mother, April Carr, is speaking out.

“I think it’s a terroristic threat on my son’s life, that I definitely don’t take lightly," the mother told Channel 2 News Atlanta.

The incident started when some students of Hagan's class were laughing during the lesson, one being Carr's son, to which the teacher responded with the insensitive threat.

Carr posted the video of the threat to social media, where Hagan can be heard saying: “You screw with me you’re going to be in big a** trouble. Don’t smile at me, man. That’s how people like you get shot. I got a bet. I bet by the time you’re 21 somebody’s going to put a bullet in your head. OK. And it might be me the one who does it.”

Carr does acknowledge that her son was misbehaving in the classroom, as he admitted it to her when discussing what occurred. But this mother says the situation should have been handled differently. Although Hagan has since apologized for what was said to the student, the mother is calling for the educator to be terminated and charges filed.

What in the world is going on with these teachers nowadays?
