Ginuwine is an R&B heartthrob, but he’s not too cool to laugh off the embarrassing fall he took at the Lovers & Friends Festival in Las Vegas. After the tumble, which went viral across social media, the 52-year-old singer poked fun at himself in an Instagram video he shared as he was driving with his crew. “We had so much fun, aside from my little spill,” he said before bursting with laughter. “Man down! But then man got back up.”

He then referenced gospel singer Donnie McClurkin’s 2000 song “We Fall Down,” singing its lyrics, “We fall down, but we get up.”

In case you missed it, the fall happened on Saturday when Ginuwine tried getting closer to his fans while onstage at the Lovers & Friends Festival, TMZ reported. Of course, the jokes rolled in. “When the knees don’t work like they use to,” one person tweeted.

After dusting himself off, Ginuwine focused on his then-next performance in Atlanta. “I’m fine everyone I gotta say that was a drop lol but I popped back up like the rest have, show must go on but Superman is good thank y’all 🍷” he wrote to his fans on Sunday through Instagram.

In another post on Sunday, Ginuwine expressed gratitude for his fans this time around, writing: “So many would kill to be in front of this crowd, I have stood the test of time and earned it the hard way, thank y’all so much we UP!!!! And this is U.S.A.!!!! We love support our own …🍷who said we can’t love each other ?!!!!! Wow amazing #loversandfriends #wine #RnB”

Scheduled for May 6, the 2023 Lovers & Friends Festival, which took place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, featured amazing performances from Mariah Carey, Usher, Summer Walker, 50 CentDa Brat, Jhene Aiko, and Missy Elliott, who just made history as the first female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

We can’t wait for next year’s lineup!
