After that breathtaking performance at the Grammys, many fans realized how truly pregnant Beyoncé was when she opted out her fast-paced choreography for a slower, sitting in a chair performance. Mama was taking all precautions to keep those twins safe and we can't blame it. But what did this mean for Queen Bey headlining Coachella? By the time April rolls around, she would be well into her pregnancy and I'm sure sitting in the desert is the last thing she wants to do.
Thankfully, there's always a plan B.
Just five days after representatives for Beyoncé's team announced that Beyoncé will sit out the double-weekend festival due to doctor's order, Lady Gaga was added to the bill. After a killer Super Bowl LI performance and right before she kicks off her Joanne World Tour in August, this is starting to look like the year of the Monsters. Gaga broke the news last night on her Twitter account.

According to Billboard, it was important to Coachella organizers that a female performer replaces Beyoncé especially since there hasn't been one since Björk in 2007. Gaga will be joined with fellow headliners Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar.
Sources reassured us that Beyoncé will indeed headline Coachella in 2018. Sit tight, Beyhive. We'll be alright.
