Marcus Scribner is set to star in the newly-announced season 5 of grown-ish— Shadow and Act has confirmed.

He’ll reprise his black-ish character of Junior, aka Andre Johnson Jr. He joins Yara Shahidi’s Zoey on the show. as the character “embarks on his own journey to being ‘grown.'” Other confirmed cast members for season 5 are not known at this time.

Additionally, Zakiyyah Alexander and black-ish executive producer and showrunner Courtney Lilly are set as the new showrunners for season 5.

The series, currently in its fourth season and airing Thursdays at 10 p.m. on Freeform/steaming the next day on Hulu, “follows Zoey and her classmates on the road to graduation.”

The final season of black-ish returns with new episodes on Tuesday, March 22, on ABC.

Scribner has previously appeared on grown-ish in recurring and guest-star capacities. He has won an NAACP Image Award for the role on black-ish.
