Just 24 hours after officially sealing the deal with his 1017 record label, Gucci Mane has dropped his latest signee Baby Racks.

In a sarcastic tone, Gucci Mane made the scornfully celebratory announcement via Twitter on Nov. 2.

“Congratulations to @Babyracks1017 first artist to get signed and dropped in a day ‍that dude is not signed to 1017,” he tweeted.

Although the voided contract is ill-defined, Guwop’s decision came shortly after Baby Racks made some slanderous comments towards the city of Houston following the untimely passing of Migos rapper, Takeoff.

As Blavity previously reported, on Nov. 1, Takeoff and fellow Migos band member/uncle Quavo, were attending a private event at a bowling alley in Houston when things allegedly got heated over a dice game. Words were exchanged and unfortunately, shots were fired, killing the 28-year-old rapper.

In an official statement from Quality Control Music, Takeoff was hit by stray bullets. An autopsy conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences in Houston revealed the rapper was hit in the head and torso.

Following the news of Takeoff’s tragic death, many people have shared their thoughts. Of those to chime in was new rapper Baby Racks. Baby Racks hails from Columbus, GA and although he’s had some sort of affiliation with Gucci Mane for about three months, he’s only been signed to the veteran rapper’s label for about 24 hours.

Racks took to his Twitter to send a message to Houston promoters letting them know that he has no desire to be booked in their city.

“I’m definitely not fw houston after that,” tweeted Baby Racks, “DONT BOOK ME CAUSE BABY RACKS AINT COMING.”

In true Twitter fashion, users went off on Baby Racks and were quick to let him know that they don’t care if he goes to Houston, nor do they even know who he is.

Someone even claimed they thought he was a hairstylist.

Baby Racks’ comments and the subsequent social media dragging led Gucci Mane to pull the plug on the Columbus rapper’s short-lived relationship with 1017.

Before making his page private, Baby Racks tweeted, “Congratulations to babyracks appreciate the video appreciate flying me and my team out. I appreciate that check Atlantic records sent thank you Gucci.”

Baby Racks then referred to himself as a “free agent” and went on to solicit other hip hop heavyweights to draft him.

“Gucci 100 and ima free agent now,” he tweeted. “Youngboy get at me @YoGotti wassup @Jeezy holla at me @qcm_p wassup wit it @RickRoss wassup.”

Earlier this year, Gucci Mane connected with Racks after reaching out to him via DM on Instagram. Just last month, Baby Racks released the visual and song for his single “Look Ma I Did It” featuring the 1017 CEO. However, despite what Baby Racks says, TMZ confirms that no checks have been cut by Atlantic Records.
