According to a BuzzFeed report, the White House is working on an executive order involving HBCUs. Not much is known about what it may possibly entail, but reality television Trump administration personality Omarosa. She led a listening session with Trump and folks like Ben Carson on Wednesday morning for Black History Month. 

Political commentator Paris Dennard told BuzzFeed that he told Trump that he could go down as "greatest presidents in modern history,"  and that he needed to support HBCUs, "given how HBCUs fared under the previous administration."

Trump is said to have asked what the "Harvard" of HBCUs was, to which many in the room responded with Howard. Many in the room said Harvard was doing well, but other HBCUs weren't , and linked the current state of HBCUs to President Obama. 

 "He was shocked and upset to learn what happened under the previous administration," said Dennard.

Omarosa gave BuzzFeed no comment on an executive order, but said, “I can however reinforce the president’s commitment to support historically black colleges and universities, as well as school choice as he stated throughout the campaign.”
