In celebration of Women’s History Month, lifestyle brand/media company, OkayAfrica, presents their inaugural "OkayAfrica’s 100 Women" list, including international luminaries, as well as those on the come up within various industries such as politics, arts, sports, and business. 

The curated list pays tribute to 100 African women and features highlight stories of renowned women like, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Luvvie Ajayi, Issa Rae, Ruth Negga, Lupita Nyong’o, Iman and Caster Semenya, as well as other major change agents making a difference around the globe. Others featured on this list is Phiona Mutesi, the chess prodigy from Uganda of the recent Disney Queen of Katwe movie, and Ilwad Elman, human rights and social activist from Somalia. These women were chosen for their entire personification of #blackgirlmagic and the impact they’ve had globally.
