AT&T Dream In Black is putting out the call for students who are shaping Black culture and celebrating them as Rising Future Makers.
Dream In Black is about celebrating how success can look like anything we can dream. If you’re an HBCU student making a difference in your community, on your campus, or both, you have the chance to get your hands on $5,000 and other awesome prizes in the AT&T Dream In Black Rising Future Makers contest!
Rising Future Makers is a program recognizing an influential class of 25 HBCU students crushing the game in their own way. From fashion to technology, from gaming to philanthropy, and anywhere in between.
This program is all about uplifting the next generation of HBCU talent, highlighting the incredible things they’re already doing and giving them the tools to keep rising.
First, AT&T Dream In Black is celebrating HBCU students who are doing that game-changing work. Then they’re recognizing, rewarding, and supporting these students with $5,000 and brand-new tech (including one year of AT&T wireless service) for the school year, as well as sweet Rising Future Makers swag and memorabilia.
On top of all that, AT&T is connecting all selected Rising Future Makers with celebrity advocates like NBA Champion J.R. Smith and entrepreneur La La Anthony, and providing the inaugural class with an opportunity to meet and learn from them and others during a Virtual Celebrity Advocate event. And of course, they’ll get national recognition and bragging rights for being a member of the first exclusive Rising Future Maker class.
If you or an HBCU student that you know sounds like a Rising Future Maker, apply or nominate yourself or them today!
To enter, post a 30- to 60-second video on Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok that tells AT&T how you or the HBCU student you know are shaping the now, the new, and the next, and why you desire to be recognized as a Rising Future Maker. All submissions MUST use the hashtags #ATTRisingFutureMaker and #DreamInBlack to be considered.
All currently enrolled HBCU students ages 18–25 are eligible to apply, and the entry period ends October 31, 2021.
