nullMaybe so, maybe not.

So, according to several media reports, the situation is currently like this: Former Today Show executive producer and NBC programming chief, Jeff Zucker, who is now running CNN has been making big changes of late to improve the network’s ratings.

He’s been hiring on-air talent from ABC and CBS and recently dumped Soledad O’Brien from her morning show, with the intention of replacing her with Erin Burnett, who currently has a prime time show on the network. (There have been rumors that even Anderson Cooper’s days at CNN are not for long.)

Problem is that Burnett has made it clear to Zucker that she likes her current show just fine, and has no interest in getting up at 4AM every morning to host a morning show that no one watches.

So, according to reports, the person Zucker now has in mind for the morning show is Tamron Hall over at NBC News and MSNBC. But if offered, would she take it?

Why would she? The former local Chicago Fox News anchor is definitely a rising star at NBC, has her own regular weekday show, NewsNation, on MSNBC, and she regular fills in as a sub-anchor and host on the Today Show.

On the other hand, some people are saying that what she really wants is a regular co-hosting gig on the Today Show, but that seems unlikely since she would have to get in line behind Savannah Guthrie and Natalie Morales for the job. And besides, she would have to work with Matt Lauer, and who wants to work with him? That’s what Ann Curry did for 15 years and look where it got her.

Also, come to think of it, if Zucker is interested in her, that means her current contract at NBC might soon be expiring. Will she resign or move on to someplace else?

Stay tuned.
