Social media star and streamer IShowSpeed knows that snacks and streaming go hand in hand. His latest collaboration taps into that longtime love for the perfect munchie.

Speed, 21, is lending his signature energy to a new social-first campaign centered around swapping iconic chip flavors onto unexpected chip styles.

His take? A mashup of cheddar & sour cream, traditionally known for its ridged chip, reimagined on a different style altogether.

“It sounds crazy,” Speed told Blavity in a recent interview about his flavor concoction.

He continued, “It represents Speed. It sounds energetic… and good. And Doritos and Ruffles were two of my favorite snacks in the world growing up.”

Speed revealed that tasting the flavors was just as exciting as learning he’d be part of the collaboration.

“I went through about four or five to get to the one,” he said, adding, “but it was worth it,” with excitement.

Snacks have long been part of Speed’s streaming setup. As a kid, he reached for gummies for a quick burst of energy. Now, he says, it’s all about that perfect crunch.

While Speed is serious about snacks, the 2025 Streamer of the Year says his “chat” has to be on board, too. The campaign is leaning into digital spaces, with early access available through TikTok Shop before the flavors expand to retailers nationwide.

“They’re the people who are getting this chip. When you combine the two flavors everybody loves and listen to the people and the fans, you get them involved, and you come out with a great chip. Everybody’s happy,” Speed said.

With more than 70 million followers across platforms, Speed admits he’s heard some wild snack suggestions from fans — but he’s confident this one will land.

Recently, the Cincinnati native went viral for documenting his travels across Africa in celebration of his 21st birthday. Speed was praised for positively showcasing the countries he visited, introducing a younger demographic to the continent and helping build cultural bridges through social media.

Beyond the life-changing experiences, he said the snacks were just as memorable. Recalling a childhood favorite, Speed said the gummies in South Africa were “so good.”

Speed joins other creators participating in the flavor-swapping initiative, including Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Madison Beer and the Dude Perfect crew.

The limited-edition bundle featuring the creators’ flavors will expand to retail shelves March 1.
