From Awkward Black Girl, to Insecure on HBO, all the way to the reboot of her web series Milk + Honey, and taking it to the Fruit Podcast, Issa Rae has proven herself as a creative genius. Shorty is out here winning in all kinds of ways. News broke that she was recently casted in Fox 2000's movie The Hate U Give as well as that she would be teaming u with Baron Davis on a movie project. Not to mention, she was recently honored at BET's Black Girls Rock. At this point, it's almost like, what other way could she possibly win?
Vibe reports that one of her web series is again taking it to the next level and moving to Television.
Aspire TV announced that they will be premiering the first season of the Butter + Brown culinary series on their network at the top of October. The culinary series was created, co-executive produced and hosted by Seth Brundle and Leslie Antonoff, while Rae and Chef G. Garvin (Turn Up the Heat, Road Trip with G. Garvin) serve as executive producers.
On the television series, Brundle and Antonoff will be hosting household name guests such as Rick Ross, David Banner, Larenz Tate and Carla Hall for a lovely mixture of unique recipes, conversation, cocktails, and games.
The first episode is set to air on October 3 at 8 p.m. ET.
