Jaden Smith is celebrating his fitness evolution. The 25-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith took to social media to show a before and after comparison of himself.

Jaden posted a photograph taken years ago and compared it to himself after having been working out in the gym. He shared his fitness evolution on social media to call out anyone who has been fixated on sharing photographs of him before.

Jaden has been open about his health journey in the past. In 2019, his parents staged an intervention to address their concerns concerning his eating habits since switching to a vegan diet. Jada said he looked “drained” and “depleted” on an episode of Red Table Talk, according to Complex.

“I was just eating like two meals a day…maybe one,” Jaden shared at the time. “Maybe just that one big meal, and I’m like, ‘Oh, you know, I didn’t get around to it.’”

Two years later, he said that he had gained 10 pounds after receiving medical help.

“I was able to get my vitamins and supplements,” Smith added, according to Today. “Protein shakes. … It’s like a password that I have to find to my body.”

“I’m 10 pounds heavier now at this point, and I feel like I’m keeping on my weight. I’m able to put on more muscle.”

His mother replied in support.

“You were just trying to figure it out,” she said.

Apart from skipping meals, underrating can be caused by heavy exercise, malabsorption and underlying health conditions, according to Healthline. It can lead to lower energy levels, hair loss, feeling cold, a weakened immune system and more.

If you or someone you know may be underrating, visiting a doctor or dietitian is recommended. You can also contact the National Alliance for Eating Disorders for support and guidance.
