I missed this news when it was first announced almost a month ago, but it’s better late than never. The Wire alum Jamie Hector has joined the cast of the upcoming Cinemax drama pilot Quarry. Hector will play Arthur, the husband of Nikki Amuka-Bird’s character, Ruth.
It was back in June when we first broke the news that Amuka-Bird had been cast in the pilot based on the popular Max Allan Collins novels.
Set in the 1970’s, Quarry centers on Marine sniper Quarry
(Logan Marshall-Green) who, upon his return home from Vietnam in 1973,
finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public.
Amuka-Bird will play Ruth, the wife of Quarry’s friend, fellow former
Marine, Artie.
I was very curious to know with whom Amuka-Bird would be paired. The selection of Hector is an excellent one, and only increases my interest in the show, as I’m sure it will for many S&A readers.
Quarry is being written by Graham Gordy and Michael D. Fuller, who are also executive producing alongside Steve Golin, David Kanter, Matt DeRoss, Keith Redmon, Ken Levin, John Hillcoat, and Collins for Anonymous Content.
