For R&B starlet Victoria Monét, this year has been nothing short of sensational. On top of dropping her critically acclaimed debut album, Jaguar II, and embarking on an accompanying tour, she recently garnered the approval of one of her biggest inspirations, the incomparable Janet Jackson.
Shortly after watching her perform during the London stint of The Jaguar Tour, Jackson had a few words of endearment to share about Monét and her trajectory of success on Instagram Stories: “Victoria, I’m so happy for you! Matching her energy almost entirely, Monét responded on her Instagram Story by sharing her joy for the heartfelt moment: “🥲🥺 umm..I am having a hard time wrapping my heart around the fact that you spent your night at my show when you’re one of the BIGGEST the inspirations for it!! For my artistry at all!”
The “On My Mama” singer continued, “I can’t thank you enough for who you are and what you’ve done but I’ll spend life trying!
