After everything went viral and she realized she was the talk of Twitter (the artist reached No. 1 in Trending Stories at one point), Scott took to the platform to explain the moment on Tuesday:
Hi. I sing/act out all kinds of stories. You should cum to my shows. After a Jill Scott show, most people get splendidly laid by whoever they came with😁👍🏽🎶🤪🎉 #iftheydontFitup #stopfrontinusuckdicktoo— ⭐Jill Scott⭐ (@missjillscott) November 13, 2018
They also usually go on 2happier, more productive, focused, wealthy lives.
On Wednesday, the Philadelphia artist cleared up a few more things about that video:
Good morning Love Village & welcome newbies. I don’t know who tweeted that snippet but they didn’t capture the point. There’s good intention in everything I do, particularly for couples. I’ve BEEN me baby. ALL of me. Check the discography. Peace.— ⭐Jill Scott⭐ (@missjillscott) November 14, 2018
"I don't know who tweeted that snippet, but they didn't capture the point," she tweeted. "There's good intention in everything I do, particularly for couples."
The artist added "I've BEEN me, baby. ALL of me," validating her fans who tried to tell everyone her sexually suggestive moves weren't a new thing since her song lyrics have always oozed sex appeal.
The shock that Jill Scott is sexual in her performances from people who owe their existence to her first album is gonna crack me up all day.— ❄Mikki Kendall❄ (@Karnythia) November 13, 2018
