I support the notion that black women have the right to win. We’re the fastest growing entrepreneurs in America, killing the game in the entertainment sector, and at the forefront in the fight for equality.

Of all these badass things black women are known for, why is it that every time Ciara seems to make strides in her life, the misogynoir elitists come out to play, minimalizing her choices as a mother and married woman?

For some reason her getting MARRIED to another man and having a baby with her HUSBAND, is grounds to call her out of her name.

While celebrating her 31st birthday this week, Ciara revealed her pregnancy news on Instagram.

Once the news hit Twitter on Wednesday about her expecting baby number two, the first with husband Russell Wilson, hurt feelings became apparent.

Tell us why you mad, bruh? In other words who hurt you? That hurt must run deep, so deep that you make excuses as to why Future can have several children with several different women, but Ciara gets the Scarlet Letter for starting a family with her husband.

This must stop.

The bigger issue here is not only misogynists, but other women blatantly throwing jabs at Ciara for choosing happiness.

This woman walked away from a relationship with a man that believes codeine is a vitamin. This woman departed a relationship from a man who believes it’s okay to publicly bash his son’s mother for millions to read. If you dare say it was her fault that he did so, I’m questioning if you even respect your own mama.

What false prophet and/or doctrine caused society to believe that happiness is only available to a select few? Moving on in life shouldn’t be a crime. Why is it that Ciara is frequently condemned for the choices made in her personal life?

She chose happy, something her critics know nothing about.
