Not only is this year's ceremony one for the books for hip-hop G.O.A.T, Kendrick Lamar, but for awards shows in general. This year MTV has added new categories such as "Best Fight Against the System," and has eradicated gender-specific categories.
The awards will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2017, and the polls are now open for public voting.
