"Key & Peele" may no longer be a show on TV, but the comedic pair is teaming up to produce a new comedy starring social media celebrity Andrew "King Bach" Bachelor, whose Vine clips are apparently comedy gold.
The currently untitled new show, which is set up at Fox, will be loosely based on one of Bachelor’s online personas, and will follow an undercover cop who goes back to his hometown to take on childhood bullies.
It will be written and co-executive produced by Key and Peele alum Alex Rubens.
"King Bach" is one of Vine’s most popular users, with around 14 million followers and over 5 billion loops. This is where we are in 2015 folks; if you’re a creative, use social media to showcase your talents, and in the process, build an audience, and, hopefully, eventually, you might find the kind of success that people like Bach have in recent years.
"Bach" has been able to parlay his Vine popularity into TV credits, including recurring roles in "The Mindy Project," "House Of Lies" and "Black Jesus."
